I have worked in the nonprofit sector in development, marketing and public relations for practically my entire career. My greatest strength is in my ability to uncover the stories that compel people to action—and then to bring those stories to life through my writing. Through these skills I have successfully earned grants for my organizations; awards for fellow staff members, board members and for the organizations themselves; and feature stories in the media—print, broadcast and digital.While I enjoy the solitude that writing brings, I am at my best when working as a part of a team, examining challenges and working together to arrive at creative solutions. I am a strategic thinker who takes the long view when looking at new projects or initiatives. Work is most rewarding for me when I am able to build relationships and make community connections for my organization.
