About Elyshia Hoekstra

As a recent MLIS graduate, I am seeking employment in a library setting. I enjoy many types of librarianship, including adult services, children services, cataloging and genealogy. I am a volunteer at Dorr Township Library where I get everyday working knowledge of many of these aspects of librarianship. As I continue to add skills to my long-term professional goal, I currently work as a full-time nanny for a young family which has three children under the age of 5. Providing daily lessons, crafts and activities, I am constantly making use of library and informational resources, employing skills I've learned in the library world.
