I am a dedicated third-year Biomedical Science student at Aston University, currently on my placement year as a trainee biomedical scientist at Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital Trust in the Newborn Screening and Biochemical Genetics department. This placement is a key step in my journey towards becoming a registered biomedical scientist, as it allows me to complete my IBMS registration portfolio and, ultimately, register with the HCPC after completing my degree.With a strong academic background and a passion for healthcare, I am committed to making meaningful contributions to medical research and patient care. My placement is providing me with invaluable hands-on experience, reinforcing my skills in laboratory techniques and expanding my knowledge in key areas of biomedical science.My strengths lie in my enthusiasm and articulate communication skills, both verbal and written. I am known for my warm and approachable demeanour, which enables me to collaborate effectively within teams as well as work independently to achieve objectives.
