I am a community and programs director skilled at discovering opportunity and making connections, strategy and execution. Strong in creating new and innovative programs from the ground up and scaling current offerings, I build bridges between organizational verticals to further the social missions of nonprofits, local government, businesses and philanthropy. I enjoy working environments that link society, business, policy, arts, culture, community and social impact. I enjoy connecting people to resources and funding to opportunity. Whether building a new community, or discovering ways to deepen, scale and grow existing communities, I attempt to inspire and uplift individuals while setting simple convening and structures that allow for shared learning within groups and spur collaboration. I'm great in entrepreneurial environments, and love being inspired by diverse people and ideas! I believe that issues and disciplines are inter-related and that cross-sector, cross-industry approaches can enable systems change. I have worked with non-profit, business and government leaders, community organizers, designers, entrepreneurs, researchers, scientists, technologists, composers, theater directors and musicians. Questions that guide my work include: What kinds of approaches to resources and investment allow communities to flourish? How do communities function? How can we build more partnerships and coalitions across sectors? How do we allow communities to lead the way?I want to continue to leverage my MBA education to further community efforts of mission-driven companies, CSR departments, nonprofits and networks of partners looking to have greater social impact.I am proud to have been a member of the arts community, having spent over a decade as a professional dancer in New York City, a profession that taught me about teams, collaboration, systems thinking, creative rigor and problem-solving.
