I worked as the Infant Rotator for the Kensington Y Child Care Centre, and in child care delivery for an after school school age care program. As Infant Rotator, I rotated through the various rooms at the daycare interacting and providing care to children of all ages. In the after school program, I was directly involved in the weekly program planning and provided learning opportunities for the children to explore their interests in science, arts, sports, literature and a variety of other subjects. With my colleagues, I worked to create a safe and comfortable space to foster learning through play experiences, and social and individual development.

The goal of the Mad Science curriculum is to get kids excited about science and provide hands-on learning opportunities to explore physics, biology and chemistry concepts. My favourite unit was about oceans, the differences between fresh and salt water and the life of sea creatures.

In my role as Department Administrator and Customer Service Representative for a small company, my range of responsibilities is quite broad. As the Radon Department Administrator, I oversee daily operations and manage the sales, business development, and marketing for the department. I frequently engage with industry stakeholders and provide technical support and guidance for large and small-scale radon testing projects. As the sole Customer Service Representative and general administrative assistant for LEX Scientific, I manage three separate email accounts and frequently offer administrative, sales, clerical and technical support to all departments. As a research assistant in an ecology lab, I augmented my 4th year undergraduate thesis project with entomologist Dr. Alex Smith. I collected and analyzed additional data for my project using various analytical and statistical programs, and performed laboratory work within SOPs. In addition to my research, I co-managed three laboratory assistants and oversaw daily lab activities while my advisor was on paternity leave.
