Worked 13 hour days over the weekends and several hours throughout the week milking cows, tending to calves and other small animals, maintaining crops, and lending a hand around the farm.

As Croo, Assitant Hutmaster, and Hutmaster I was responsible for contributing to and overseeing the daily operations at several of the AMC's backcountry huts along the Appalachian Trail. These positions are essential in providing a safe, comfortable, and memorable experience for hut guests while maintaining the AMC's mission of environmental sustainability. Summer 2023 I worked as hutmaster at Greenleaf Hut, where I was in charge of the training and supervision of the six other staff members who worked in the facility.
