I simulated the dynamic evolution of sedimentary features in the Great Australian Bight (GAB) and conducted 3D structural modelling of the Gloucester coal-bearing basin in NSW. My focus was on modelling structural uncertainties and the distribution of faults. I contributed my expertise to the exploration of offshore and onshore basins in Australia, examining the relative roles of faults and stratigraphy in coal seams compartmentalisation. Additionally, I efficiently engaged in dynamic sedimentary process modelling in the GAB and thoroughly investigated the interactions between tectonic activity and sediment transport.Key Achievements:- Effectively utilised advanced modelling techniques and successfully enhanced understanding of geological processes and petroleum systems in studied basins.

I conducted an assessment of the tight gas potential in the Laurel formation of the Canning Basin on behalf of Buru Petroleum. By analysing seismic data, I identified favorable stratigraphic intervals and structural features indicating the presence of potential tight gas reservoirs. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including geophysicists and reservoir engineers, I optimised the interpretation and mapping of the sweet spots. I utilised a combination of strati-seismic and well data analysis to characterise the sweet spots within the formation. Additionally, I integrated well data such as logs and core samples to evaluate reservoir properties and assess reservoir quality.Key Achievements:- Successfully contributed to the overall understanding of the Canning Basin's hydrocarbon potential and the identification of commercially viable reservoir targets.- Effectively provided recommendations and insights to Buru Petroleum regarding the development and exploration strategies for the tight gas potential in the Laurel formation.
