I am a 4th-year Mechanical Engineering student. Growing up, I was always exposed to the industry through my father and I developed a strong interest in things like cars and robots, and through my various travels, I became obsessed with all technological advances that brought magnificent theme park projects to life. My goals for the future include being a part of a team that brought this same excitement to me. While I enjoy the mechanical aspect of different projects I have a certain interest in electronics and I fed into it by taking robotics all throughout high school. One of my current interests includes both vehicle and ride control systems. The mix of mechanical and electrical is what I believe to be "perfectly balanced, as all things should be" (Thanos, 2018).I have both completed and contributed to various projects over the years which include my own personal projects (PC builds, car modifications) and school projects. Two major projects I completed in high school were my Sumo Bot and Firefighting robots for my robotics class. Through my program at Conestoga, I was part of a group that built a mechanical arm in 1st year where I led certain CAD tasks. Our 2nd-year project was an automated work cell, which includes a pick-and-place arm. This work cell merged mechanical and electrical systems together and supported our learning of PLC programming.
