About Emad Rojhani
I am a Structural Geologist and Tectonician and my main concern is the tectonic reconstruction of eastern Iran and western Tibet for the last 50 Ma. I used field-based stratigraphic and structural records, as a Ph.D. project in the Geoscience Department of the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. I have spent about 8 months at Utrecht University as a visiting researcher under the supervision of Prof. Douwe van Hinsbergen, until Jun 2021, to establish a Paleomagnetic study in the east of Iran. Now, I am working in the Chamber of Commerce to perform market research using ITC tools, especially for mining sector enterpruners.I plan to develop my paleomagnetic and structural studies to help us better understand plate tectonic theory. For instance, the Mezosoic history of the Cimmerian block(s) in response to the Indian plate's northward immigration and collision could shed light on the scape-tectonics as a consequence of the collision or as an inevitable effect of movements of the lithosphere. Moreover, how these movements affect a variety of earth systems in a reaction chain.
