* Issuance of cheques and control of payment vouchers and processing bank advices for receipts/payments* Cross verification of cash collection report and bank deposit slips on daily basis.* Regular review of bank reconciliation and control of cancelled and out-dated cheques.* Preparation of inter-company statements, reconciliation statement of Reinsurance Company accounts and follow-up for collection.* Check departmental summaries with accounting records in respect of premium and claims.* Control of Journal Voucher – passing periodic closing and adjustment entries and ensure prompt availability of all internal computer related reports.* Work out commission payable to assigned Agents and follow-up for collection of premium due from clients through them.* Prepare all reports that are to be submitted to the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and responding to queries from them.* Respond to queries from Ministry of Finance/DIT/Insurance Regulatory etc. as and when required.* Assist head of department in preparation of quarterly closing schedules* Assist external and internal auditors as and when required.* Assists in any other capacity in the Accounts Dept. as directed by the Management.
