Managed and participated in administering the Fulbright Commission’s grants awarded to U.S. citizens to lecture, conduct research, or study in Egypt through the American Fulbright Program.Responsibilities:Managing a portfolio of the following Fulbright programs:1- Fulbright Specialist Program2- Critical Language Enhancement Award3- Cultural Educational ProgramKey Duties:- Promoting the Fulbright Specialist Program among Egyptian host institutions, reviewing the specialist request forms for selection process and liaising with the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) and the U.S Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) for processing the requested projects of the program.- Translating the applicants’ materials and applying for Government of Egypt project clearances for short-listed candidates.- Liaising and interacting with Egyptian host institutions and universities to arrange American grantees’ affiliations.- Participating in representing the Commission at the annual Pre-Departure Orientation organized for incoming U.S. grantees in Washington D.C., which entails compilation of materials, updating grantees’ handbook and giving presentations at country sessions. - Assisting grantees in complying with program policies, terms and conditions during the term of their grant, in addition to compliance with J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board policies and attending to their inquiries. - Developing the cultural educational plan and budget, in addition to handling the evaluation process to follow up on issues and for pointers for better administration of the program. - Organizing culture related conferences, seminars, and various types of activities for U.S. grantees. - Writing press releases, conducting outreach and communication activities, including designing media coverage for some conferences - Researching and producing reports and statistics related to the programs, as requested.

Worked as a Professional Translator-Interpreter at TAPR II USAID Funded Project. I was responsible for translating insurance technical materials, procedural manuals & guides, training materials, legal & economic documents from Arabic into English and vice versa. I also do simultaneous and consecutive interpreting at meetings, interviews, training sessions, workshops and conferences in Cairo and Alexandria.In addition to editing & proof reading the translated documents.
