Working at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, a renowned world-class facility featuring one of only a dozen Olympic-sized swimming pools in the UK and Europe’s deepest diving pool. This prestigious venue is home to the City of Sheffield Swim School and City of Sheffield Diving, where Paris 2024 bronze medallist Yasmin Harper trains. In my role of Assistant Operations Manager, I am responsible for the following:Developing new and existing partnerships to optimise revenue generation.Procuring and delivering dry events, including managing contract and financial arrangements, creating accurate technical specifications, and collaborating and coordinating with relevant business streams.Assisting the Events and General Manager in maximising revenue, and controlling and minimising expenses.Supervising and prioritising daily venue shifts for operational staff to maximise productivity and meet business demands.Assisting in the preparation and implementation of the venue's Health and Safety program, providing competent health and safety support, and taking appropriate corrective action to comply with industry standards and best practices.Supporting the management of dry clubs, and ensuring compliance with National Governing Body (NGB) and company policies.Coordinating the Student Work Experience Programme

Worked at the English Institute of Sport Sheffield (EISS), a world-class sporting facility and the largest indoor venue of its kind in the UK, serving as a hub for several National Governing Bodies and influential organisations such as GB Boxing and Parabadminton GB, in addition to providing community gym and indoor athletics facilities. As Duty Manager, I led the team in executing operational procedures to ensure the safety of all stakeholders, supervised and prioritised daily shifts to maximise staff productivity and meet business demands, supported the management of dry clubs, ensuring compliance with both National Governing Body (NGB) and company policies and coordinated the set-up of various regional, national, and international events.

I completed a short-term internship as a Management Assistant at the English Institute of Sport Sheffield (EISS), a world-class sporting facility in England. In this role, I oversaw inventory levels and daily operations, coordinated with various departments and senior staff, and prepared documents for both internal and external communications. I also conducted customer surveys to gather valuable feedback. Additionally, I gained experience in event management, contributing to the setup of large regional, national, and international events.

I completed a short-term internship as a Facility Officer at Sheffield City Council, where I was responsible for preparing and updating new Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), shadowing experienced facility officers, and collaborating with department leaders to develop the facilities survey for the upcoming year
