Since 2004, I have been worked with software testing with the main focus on Model-Based Testing (MBT). Since the same year, I have taught different courses for undergraduate students, including Software Testing as well. During my master and doctoral studies, I had the opportunity to be in contact with the industry while working for Motorola, so I could observe real problems, propose and validate the solutions. I spent eight months during my doctoral studies in Pisa (Italy) in the software engineering group of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). I got my Doctor title in 2011, for this I proposed a Strategy for Test Case Selection based on a Similarity function. Since 2011, I am affiliated to the Computer Science Graduation Program at Federal University of Campina Grande (Brazil), where currently I am co-supervising 2 doctoral students whose focus is on strategies for controlling the test suite size. Recently, I did a post-doctoral research at Fraunhofer IESE, in the Department of Embedded Systems Quality Assurance where the focus was on Model Based Test technologies for embedded software systems. I have proposed an approach for validating Simulink Models.
