I am Director of a complex structure of the European Institute of Oncology from 01 January 2020 to today, previously I was director of a simple structure of the same service since 1994. From 2017 to today I am also director of the hospital pharmacy of the Monzino Cardiological Center in Milan.In the field of clinical trials, the service I coordinate deals with formulations for experimental use: preparation of sterile and non-sterile galenics for experimental use, blinding operations for double-blind studies and preparation of placebos.Below are my main scientific accomplishments:-Antineoplastic drug occupational exposure: a new integrated approach to evaluate exposure and early genotoxic and cytotoxic effects by no-invasive Buccal Micronucleus Cytome Assay biomarker;- Italian Technical Standards of SIFO of Sterile Oncological Galenics;- Management of health personnel exposure risks in handling injectable antineoplastic drugs: prevention aspects and characterization of safety measures;-“Testing microbial contamination during the preparation of the radiocompound [90Y] DOTATOC for clinical trials: a process validation study by Media Fill approach.”-“High performance liquid chromatographic determination of thalidomide in patients affected by hepatocellular carcinoma”.I am co-author of more than 105 publications, I am a member of the board of Directors of SIFO, the Italian hospital pharmacy society with the position of scientific manager for the four-year period 2020-2024 and of the foundation of the Italian hospital pharmacy society- advisor 2020-2024. I am a member of the Ethics Committee of the IRCCS European Institute of Oncology and Monzino Cardiology Centre.
