My responsibilities encompass:🔬 Method Development: Pioneering cutting-edge methodologies to provide sustainable solutions for customers in the automotive and vehicle safety industries. 🔍 Material Characterization: Characterizing and validating advanced engineering materials for use in LS-Dyna & Radioss simulations. 🌡️ Thermal Simulations: Utilizing state-of-the-art thermal simulations to replace conventional temperature cycling tests, reducing time and costs.🎓 Academic Collaboration: Collaborating with esteemed academic institutions to provide complex research topics for both bachelor's and master's theses, fostering the next generation of talent.🛠️ Continuous Improvement (CI): Enhancing Teccon's product offerings and testing infrastructure through innovative process and design improvements.

Worked with several different types of customers in the automotive industry in order to help them achieve their design requirements and goals. The main focus was centred around design for crashworthiness. Explicit finite element analyses (FEA) were conducted using LS Dyna in order to run complete vehicle crash simulations in accordance with UN ECE & FMVSS, component test simulations and material characterization. The results were then presented to Capgemini’s customers either in-person or virtually using MS PowerPoint.

Managed and oversaw all technical and commercial aspects of several different automotive passive safety projects for various OEM's. The projects were comprised of complete vehicle crash testing, consultative homologation and CAE simulations including but not limited to airbag development/deployment, material card generation and design for crashworthiness.

Employed as a CSIA Level 2 Ski Instructor during the winter months. Used communication skills to implement suitable teaching methods dependent on the age the of student. Learned to work with and adapt to other instructor’s teaching techniques.

Verified production capabilities met engineering design specifications through Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP) and Run @ Rates. Scheduled and led Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) meetings. Analyzed engineering drawings to ensure parts were within tolerance. Investigated injection-molding defects and processes. Collaborated with Tier 1 customers including Magna, TRW, and Borg Warner to satisfy engineering requirements.

Machined and fabricated anvils, fixtures, bearing housings and drivetrain componentry via lathes and milling machines at tolerances of as tight as +/-.0005".

- In charge of all testing required for UOIT’s electric race car (Safety requirement tests, laminate & dynamic testing)- Collaborated with others & used analytical thinking when it came to CAD & calculations required for structural equivalency

Managed Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) requirements for the production floor and the quality department as well as the 3D printing of prototype parts to determine moldability during quoting. Assisted in plant re-layout activities. Contributed to future project scoping, the machining of development tooling, and research for the Advanced Engineering R&D department.

Maintained E-bikes and contributed to new product development teams. Built OEM demos and assisted in manufacturing, including tool and die work. Collaborated with sales and marketing teams to enhance public relations in English and German.
