Research, development and implementation of an innovative LED in-roadway marking technology. The project, called ARMS (Active Road Marking Systems) was the first interactive LED based road marking system and found numerous applications mainly on dangerous road sections such as curves, intersections, railway crossings and etc.The most famous application is the "Intelligent Croswalk" where a series of LED in-roadway markers start flashing when a pedestrian's presence is detected, crossing or waiting to cross.Another well known product developed at Dalmark was the Electro-Flare, a temporary road marking unit designed to replace the magnesium flares commonly used by the police at accidents and road blocks.
