Key responsibilities / duties include:-Managing and analysing large data sets;-Developing strategic traffic models to evaluate existing traffic patterns and assess future network developments;-Undertaking traffic forecasting exercises to inform investment decisions;

Development of the Department for Transport’s Transport Analysis Guidance, WebTAG, including the management of research projects to improve the standard of modelling and appraisal, and the production of guidance in close consultation with expert practitioners, academics and specialist consultancies. The team acts as a centre of excellence within the Department that advises on modelling and appraisal methods and standards.Key responsibilities / duties include:-Development of modelling techniques to support scheme appraisal;-The specification and management of research and consultancy contracts;-Undertaking bespoke analysis to support the enhancement of modelling methods and wider DfT needs;-Advising on specific modelling issues both to DfT customers and the external transport modelling profession; and-Advising on analysis used in policy development.

Key responsibilities / duties include: -Providing technical support on a range of transport projects across the UK, including transport modelling, forecasting and appraisal; -Undertaking and supporting businesses cases to inform transport investment decisions; -Managing and analysing large data sets; -Conducting primary and desk-based research to support planning and transport projects; -Task, Project and Staff management - delivering projects to time and budget; and -Preparing material for fee proposals and tenders.

Wide ranging technical experience including Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, micro-simulation, multi modal modelling at strategic and local level for local authority and private sector clients. Demonstrated the ability to work as part of a team with technical staff across the company, developing working relationships with staff members in other locations, as well as planning and managing tasks. Contributed to a wide range of projects in the UK, Middle East and Australia demonstrating flexibility and the ability to learn quickly and on the job.

Producing transport assessments/statements, travel plans, trip generation, distribution and assignment, capacity assessments and modelling, junctions design and analysis, site access advice/design, off-site highway improvements, swept path analysis, sustainability and accessibility transport appraisals.

Structural design, construction inspection and supervision to progress scheme design. Preparation and development of technical designs for small scale residential and commercial developments. (Part Time)

Accident investigation studies and analysis, data collection including trip counts and parking demand surveys, preliminary junctions design, traffic studies including preliminary road design, conceptual and preliminary design for technical works.

Topographical surveys, property registry, design work including development of architectural drawings and plans in small scale residential projects using AUTOCAD. (Part Time)
