After majoring in Spanish in college, studying abroad, and subsequently moving to Chile after graduation, it became clear to me that language and language services were to be an important part of my life. I love being part of an industry that focuses on building bridges between people and cultures. Training to be a professional Spanish to English translator honed my attention to detail and language skills (and brought me back to the US) and provided an introduction to the industry. This lead to nine years working as a Project Manager where I focused on organization, complex client challenges, and communicating with translators all around the world. With these experiences under my belt, I brought a broad perspective to the role of Director of Operations at Translate.One. As the Director of Operations I lead our production team to evaluate and fulfill the needs of our clients. As the company has grown and the industry has changed in the face of AI, I've continuously assessed and adjusted our processes and procedures to be better equipped to scale up without compromising our high standards of quality and commitment to customer service. Now as the Head of Production for the Americas, I'm working to expand our reach globally, support two teams of highly performing project managers, evaluate strategies and tools, and find ways to increase efficiency and solve problems for my team and customers.
