From August until December 2016 I completed by Clinical Fellowship in the Boulder Valley School District before gaining by Certificate of Clinical Competence. I worked in several schools, including in an elementary school K-5, a joint junior/senior high school, and at a Tech High School in their Transition Program (18-21yr olds). I provided services in all school-based speech areas, such as language, articulation, fluency, and social skills.

I provide diagnostics and therapeutic services to children pre-K to grade 5 in the areas of articulation, phonological processing, fluency,and language. I also aid children with augmentative and alternative communication devices, such as the Proloquo2go app for Apple iPad. I serve children with an array of needs, from children diagnosed with ASD to children only seeking speech services and diagnosed as SLI. This setting serves as my final clinical rotation during my graduate program for speech-language pathology.

Arkansas State University

I provided diagnostics and therapeutic services to children ages 4-6 years in the areas of articulation, phonological processing,and language. I also served adults in this setting, one with a medical diagnosis of dementia and suspected Parkinson's and the other post stroke. Both clients received therapeutic services for memory, attention, and problem solving. I used technology such as the iPad to serve all clients in this setting. A whole-person therapy approach was used to provide a the client with the proper care. This setting served as my first and third clinical rotations during my graduate program for speech-language pathology.

 Provided care for a young boy with Dystonia, a muscular disorder Implemented speech therapy techniques such as a low-tech PECS to facilitate non-verbal speech production  Provided ample opportunities for a non-verbal child to practice his expressive language *All therapy was done under parental supervision with guidance from a certified speech-language pathologist. As I did not have any degree at the time, my job was to help facilitate techniques that the parents taught me. I focused on helping the child use his PECs board, provide reading and language throughout sessions, and a safe space for the child to practice expressive language.
