Served as the hub of the classified sales for the Middle Tennessee branch of Lakeway Publishers, Inc.Served customers and helped them craft the most eye-catching classified ad, whether for a yard or garage sale or for a job posting; I offered tips and ideas on how to make customers' ads reach the most people both in print and online.My office served as the main classified sales office for six different newspapers serving a five-county area.I also aided nation-wide businesses in spreading the word about local hiring events for companies such as Calsonic-Kansei, National Pen Company, and the United States Post Office.I was tasked with representing the company and my local office by giving exemplary customer service, including answering phones promptly and taking and/or giving messages when necessary, making sure the needs of customers were appropriately conveyed.Maintained a positive relationship between The Tullahoma News and local businesses in order to solicit business participation in classified "sig pages," which serve as a revenue source and a local advertisement for businesses.Finally, I also assisted in a minor design capacity, working on those sig pages and editing the layout of numerous sig pages throughout the year. I would work with the ad design department on layouts and give feedback to my co-workers and supervisors on how pages could be improved.
