Wash Officer - Infrastructure
CurrentPlan the execution of assigned activities in accordance with the overall project work plans, in close coordination with other technical and operational staffEnsure the smooth execution of WASH technical outputs through the day-to-day implementation of planned activities (including the design and maintenance of infrastructure initiatives and the supervision and execution of WASH works), in compliance with national and international technical and humanitarian standards, guidelines and best practices.Effectively utilise the budget allocated to the assigned activities, in accordance with the work plans, and support the WASH specialist in monitoring the expenditure plan of the allocated budget lines; propose corrective measures in case of under- or over-spendingWork closely with the PMEAL team and line manager to support the development and maintenance of community feedback mechanisms accessible to the most vulnerable people, in order to safeguard sensitive personal data.Actively promote the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) standards at Johanniter and among its beneficiariesSupport the capacity development of partner organisations and junior technical staff, i.e. WASH assistants, community mobilisers, community WASH/hygiene promoters/volunteers and water management committees, through the provision of training and technical support and guidance, on-the-job training, mentoring and coaching to ensure they can implement assigned activities and achieve quality results.Contribute to close collaboration and coordination with relevant external stakeholders, including community representatives and community-based organisations, local authorities and government bodies (e.g. Ministry of WaterResources, Forestry and Irrigation, Department of Rural Water at state and district level), NGOs (e.g. WASH group partners) and groups at sub-regional or district level to ensure smooth implementation of activities and efficient exchange of information.
