I love working in public education supporting teachers and district administrators. Prior to my work with Oak Ridge Schools I spent four years working at the University of Wisconsin Study Abroad Program. I've had phenomenal opportunity to expand my professional expertise over the last 20+ years and appreciate the challenges now available in a premier K-12 district. Finding ways to make the lives of our amazing teachers better excites me. I enjoy using my creativity to enhance presentations both instructional and promotional as well as coordinating events large and small.I have a passion for enhancing my professional aptitude and business acumen, always on the lookout for the ways to improve processes and understandings. I have served as Founding President of the Oak Ridge Association of Educational Office Professionals, an affiliate of the National Association of Educational Office Professionals. In this role I designed and presented multiple professional development workshops for office staff across the district as well as to national conference and executive board audiences. Further, I provided hands-on, building block style technology courses designed to give office staff the tools to make the most of the technology available to them, thereby offering a deeper level of administrative support to district certified staff.I have participated extensively in professional development programs offered by OfficeDynamics Inc., Eat Your Career, AllThingsAdmin, and IAAP on a monthly basis for several years.
