I am an Associate Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University and research faculty at the New York State Psychiatric Institute at Columbia University Medical Center. My current research focus is on developing psychosocial treatments for childhood and adolescent mood disorders. My research to date centers on the role of sleep disturbance and circadian rhythm dysfunction as potential precipitating and maintaining mechanisms in mood disorders. I teach courses in the graduate Clinical Psychology PhD program and undergraduate courses on sleep at Fairleigh Dickinson University. I am a practicing psychologist as part of the Manhattan Therapy Collective (https://www.mtcollective.org/). I specialize in the treatment of sleep difficulties such as insomnia, circadian rhythm disorders, anxiety and stress, and mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder. I work with all ages from young children and their parents to older adults. I practice evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT).I enjoy serving the Pajama Program (https://pajamaprogram.org) as part of their Good Night Advisory Council.
