As Community Court Coordinator within the Westside Community Court alternative justice program I screened defendants, identified partner service agencies to complete court ordered service hours or gave referrals to social services. I followed up defendants, monitored their hours via database and coordinated with service agencies on a weekly basis, reporting completion status and relevant updates to the judge. I partnered with law enforcement and local retailers to teach a three hour, bi-weekly Theft Accountability Class for first time misdemeanor offenders who plead guilty in court. The class was held at community partner location with Central City Concern and offered defendants the opportunity to build empathy.

Recruited and trained a staff of educators to instruct youth bicycle programs in Chicago. I coordinated with schools, community organizations, Chicago Department of Transportation and other government agencies as well as the Chicago Park District. Managed 13 programs a semester, where I created budgets, MOU and contract negotiations, invoiced, wrote curriculums, ordered and delivered supplies. In this role, I secured $100,000 in grant and contract funding.Partnered with community organizations and other groups to encourage cycling in Chicago and beyond. Founded an all girls bicycle mechanics and advocacy club, "Girls' Bike Club" (GBC) focus was inter-generational mentoring and leadership development. This group was run by consensus and youth-led. We raised funds and flew to NYC for Recycle-A-Bicycle's Youth Bike Summit in 2012. This program continues today.

Public interface for the Department of Transportation's Bicycle and Pedestrian Programs on the City of Chicago. I taught bicycle safety, education and bicycle mechanics workshops, presented to large groups on commuting by bike at community organizations, city event outreach and managed a team of high school students who had completed an after school training program. I also lead group rides and taught on-bike skills to all ages. During the school year, I visited Chicago schools and gave in-class presentations and hands-on pedestrian and bicycle safety workshops through the Safe Routes to Schools program.
