Represent the Federal Aviation Administration, helping accomplish there goals to renovate and redeveloped there existing buildings throughout the nation to meet today’s standards. While working with designers and contractors I assist by providing comments on the accuracy, clarity and constructability of the Mechanical and Plumbing documents given to the FAA. In a team comprising of Engineers and Architects I worked on the development of Design Intent Drawings (DIDs) to help in the development of scope and providing contractors a starting point. This is all done with a team comprising of individuals who work remote throughout the nation, and we keep each other updated via MS Teams, SharePoint, and network-sharing.

New York City Metropolitan Area

Work as lead MEP Engineer for the LGA redevelopment of Terminal C. My responsibilities would also include quality assurance of underground and above ground plumbing systems ensuring contractors follows both Port Authority and NYC Building specifications. As MEP lead I would keep track of the testing and installation of all electrical mechanical and plumbing systems. With the help of inspectors, I would collect the data from reports and provide the resident engineer with weekly updates. As a pluming inspector I would keep track of the testing and installation of plumbing systems. This would include storm drains, sanitation lines, domestic cold water, low/high pressure water, glycol and jet fuel lines. The test that would be performed include hydrostatic, head tests and holiday test.

Work as a consultant manager for the MTA working on projects including Sandy Rehabilitation, and the Astoria Blvd. Station ADA upgrade. My primary responsibilities includes the coordination of the TA staff, contractors and inspectors during a work shift. Providing the resident engineer, project manager and the client daily updates on work activates while providing quality assurance on site based on the approved shop drawings. Other responsibilities include submittals/as-built review, deliverables tracking and manpower calculations. Attend coordination meetings with the client, and contractor staff to discuss scope of work for the upcoming week or weekend.

Worked as a consultant manager for the MTA working in the Sandy rehabilitation of the Cranberry Tube, Enhanced Station Initiative and the System Action Plan. My primary responsibilities included conducting field visits and ensure work is in complacence with shop drawings. I would also coordinate with the MTA staff and contractors to schedule field work on site and keep both the resident engineers and project manager up to date on the conditions of the work done in the pump rooms and fan plants.

As a field technician, my role was to inspect mechanical and structural systems including standpipes, concrete and safety equipment. This work included looking at provided drawings and communicating with project managers and laborers that the sampled work is with compliance with the standards set by NYC DOB, ICC IMC and ACI. All work was documented and photographed for the company’s and client’s records.

Worked as treasurer for Habitat for Humanity City College chapter. Worked on the chapters finances, organized and led fundraisers on campus. Assist in promoting club events by producing flyers using Photoshop. Worked with a team to organize volunteer events and schedule a week long trip to help a community within the habitat network. As a volunteer I worked with site-managers on various tasks including drywall installation and painting, developed my skills with power tools, such as drills, power saws and nail guns.
