Emeline is a dynamic and enthusiastic French-Australian professional interested in people, culture and social change. She has been working in project management and stakeholder engagement in the fields of global education and international affairs for over ten years. After completing a Master of International Relations with Honours from La Trobe University, Emeline worked for the United Nations Association of Australia (Victorian Division), promoting the UN’s work locally. She then moved to Asia Education Foundation, the education division of Asialink at the University of Melbourne, where she has coordinated numerous programs for school students, teachers and leaders across the Asia-Pacific region.Emeline is passionate about inspiring and empowering people, particularly young people, to create positive change and make the world a better place. She is a strong advocate for sustainable development and believes that everyone can play a part in shaping a better future for all. Emeline is convinced that intercultural understanding and cross-cultural collaboration is vital to achieving this. Outside of her work at the Asia Education Foundation, Emeline was involved with the UN Association's Young Professionals Network in Victoria, initially as Events Committee Member, then Secretary and, until December 2018, as Victorian Co-Lead. She has been learning Mandarin at the University of Melbourne’s Confucius Institute since July 2015. Emeline was a delegate of the China-Australia Millennial Project in 2017 and spent a semester at Sichuan University in Chengdu, China, undertaking intensive Mandarin language classes as a Victorian Government Hamer Scholar in 2019. In 2020, she graduated from the Asialink Leaders Program as an internal scholarship recipient. She completed the Melbourne Aspiring Leaders and Managers program at the University of Melbourne in 2023. She is part of the HumAIn Professional Learning Community.

Project Officer, Asia Education FoundationAsialink Sep 2019 - Feb 2020Melbourne, Victoria, AustraliaFollowing my Chinese language learning experience in Chengdu, China, as a Hamer Scholar, I returned to Asia Education Foundation to support the delivery of the PNGAus Partnership Secondary Schools, an initiative managed by Coffey International Development, a Tetra Tech Company, on behalf of the Australian Government in Papua New Guinea. Through this initiative, I had the opportunity to travel to Port Moresby in October 2019 with a cohort of 60 Australian school leaders, teachers and students from NSW and NT as they established school partnerships with schools across Papua New Guinea. I was also involved in hosting 80 PNG school leaders, teachers, and students during their reciprocal visit to Australia in November 2019.I also contributed to the delivery of the first national Australia-ASEAN Youth Forum on Digital Connectivity with school teams from across Australia as well as live links to school teams in Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore. Held at Sydney Opera House, this forum was part of the Australian Government’s initiative, Australia now ASEAN 2019. -

Project Officer, Asia Education FoundationAsialink Feb 2015 - Oct 2017Melbourne, AustraliaThe Asia Education Foundation (AEF) is the education division of Asialink at the University of Melbourne and a national organisation that supports the development of globally competent and Asia capable young Australians in primary and secondary schools. As Project Officer, I was primarily responsible for supporting all aspects of project development and implementation for the AEF’s Go Global programs which aim to inspire and empower young Australians to #GoGlobal. As such, I developed two new programs from the initial market research and opportunity identification to program design and development of program materials. Using the latest pedagogies, the Go Global Youth Forums invite students to share and generate ideas to address the challenges facing Southeast Asia and help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. I have successfully coordinated and delivered eight forums engaging more than 500 students from 50 different schools across 4 states. Since February 2015, I have also coordinated more than 80 interactions between schools and professionals with experience working in and/or with Asia, including some in partnership with universities and industry bodies, engaging thousands of primary and secondary students across Australia.In addition, I have contributed to a range of professional development programs for teachers and school leaders, including coordinating the outbound component of a Victorian government language teaching scholarship program through which I assisted 30 teachers undertake personalised language learning and cultural short courses in 7 different countries across Asia and Europe. I also supported the delivery of an inbound professional development short course for Indonesian teachers and an inbound program for Sri Lankan teachers and Ministry of Education officials as part of the Australia Awards funded by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. -
