DPM in Ground Engineering projects

I have worked on geotechnical projects covering aspects such as cycleway lane implementation, roundabout construction, rock fall protection, road widening and slope reinforcement. Through these I developed technical skills such as geotechnical parameter selection and design in accordance with Eurocode 7. Following on from this I have written design specifications in accordance with the Manual of Contract Documents for Highways Works and written all types of Geotechnical reports from Preliminary Sources Studies to Geotechnical Feedback reports in accordance with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges standard HD22/08. I am extremely good at working within teams and on my own as well as to demanding deadlines and increasingly lower budgets. I was involved on several projects such as the M1 Widening J10 to J13 Ground Investigation, A30 Bodmin-Indian Queens Improvement and the A46 Newark to Widmerpool Road Improvement Scheme. From those projects and others I gained experience in site supervision, site instrumentation monitoring, desk studies, ground investigation planning, cost analyses, laboratory test scheduling, borehole interpretation, data inputting and use of software packages such as gINT, GTILT, and SLOPE-W.
