Assistant Manager
CurrentI joined the team at Boston Tea Party at a very challenging time; sales were far exceeding any forecasted predictions and within its first two years broke record day/week/month/yearly sales. We are currently the highest grossing store in the business and I feel that my personal experience and determination has aided my promotion to Assistant Manager. I have developed a vast array of skills such as, relationship management, dealing with complaints, hitting KPI’s, control of EBITDA, improving YOY sales, hitting labour budgets, stock management, recruitment and training. I feel I have played a key role in helping to drive sales by marketing and have immersed myself into making relationships within the local community. I have also identified a focus of driving evening trade and have successfully organised two music nights. Throughout these endeavours I have built and developed useful contacts often through our customers. Customer relationships, I believe, are paramount and I have been actively involved in turning the store into a hub for community atmosphere.I have managed the store without the GM on its third record-breaking week and have been part of the management team throughout all of the companies’ record-breaking day/weekly/monthly/yearly sales. I have also recently been given the opportunity to run the second busiest site within the company for 3 weeks whilst their GM has gone on annual leave and in week one broke weekly record sales.
