My job as a behavioral technician is working with children who have autism and other behavioral developments. Many of the kids I work with are between the ages of 9-13 and are non verbal. My typical day is working one on one with the students. I teach them daily life skills, such as brushing your teeth or doing laundry etc. I also help and teach them.
