I worked alongside a small team of peer support workers @ ITT Dublin. The peer support programme is put in place to support all full-time first year students in ITT Dublin. This role involved the provision of emotional support and educational assistance to adults on a one to one basis. It also required me to facilitate small groups. My client group were adults, who were experiencing mental health problems such as depression, bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders and/or anxiety disorders.

Literacy tutor: I taught literacy skills on a one-to-one basis. I also carried out research work, administration duties and outreach work. I attended meetings and seminars and assisted colleagues in applying for and securing funding.

Working with children who were experiencing various psychological and/or physical developmental delays and problems. Students were aged between 4yrs - 9yrs. I worked with children who were diagnosed with:-ADD-ADHD-ASD-Conduct Disorder-Dyspraxia-Dyslexia-Language/social/emotional/physical/cognitive development problems

I presented my own live radio show for 6 years. I was on air 2 hours every Friday evening until the station closed. I also carried out some basic admin work in Tallaght Fm. My radio shows were never pre-recorded and all research and production work for my show was always carried out by myself.

Seasonal work as a retail assistant. Duties included; customer service, operation of till, stock control and merchandising. This was a temporary position (Winter/Xmas)
