I am living the dream! Helping people to be more creative in a lovely welcoming space. Groups meet here in a beautiful setting once a week for a creative treat. All levels are welcome as people work at their own pace on their own projects. Everyone learns how to make their own art and are encouraged to think for themselves while learning the skills they need to produce a work of art to be proud of.My background is a mixture of sales and training with a bit of Psychology thrown in! I was a broker consultant for many years in the UK where I got excellent training in Financial planning, training and sales skills. I also achieved a degree in Psychology and a diploma in Life Coaching out of an interest in people. On returning to Ireland in 2007 I started off as a Life Coach using BIAC as a tool to help people to change ineffective behaviours. I mainly worked with sales teams and other personnel in Banks and Financial Institutions. I have always loved Art, I was always the best Artist in my class, always doodling and I finally listened to my own coaching and realised I wanted to be an Artist! So I went back to school and became an artist. Combine Art with my interest in helping people to help themselves and my love of animals and here I am, in my art school with a load of cats and two dogs and three pet goats.Art is a great way to improve confidence. There are skills that need to be learnt and honed to make something really impressive. I can teach the process and the skills and the patience and the determination and the practice will make those who want a challenge, excellent artists. Some people just want to paint, chat and learn a few basics and other people want to develop their skills to the next level. What I love is the commonality of Adults and Children. Doesn't really matter what age you are, just what you want out of the session.. Just like Adults some Children are very determined to be great artists and some just want to come and paint and have a bit of craic with the group. The studio animals are very much part of the social experience. The intensity of learning new skills can be mixed with a bit of fresh air and playing with the cats or feeding the funny goats. (that is more prevelent amongst the kids) Or just saying Hi ! to a big old dog lying under the table.The Corporate world needs Art. I've been there! I've built those rafts and climbed those towers and played those crazy games! I am offering a chance to develop creative thinking in a safe, kind space where people can socialize and make great Art in workshops and classes.
