As a graduate of the civil engineering program, I have gained skills in design, teamwork, analysis, data interpretation, and time management.STRUCTURAL DESIGN EXPERIENCEPerformed the detailed design of a continuous three-span steel girder bridge according to AASHTO 8th ed. Worked with models in SAP2000 and STAAD. Determined the load rating of a rail bridge in accordance with AREMA. Reviewed shop and tender drawings. As part of the final design project, developed the preliminary design of a prestressed box girder grade separation bridge using the CHBDC. LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCEI am continuously seeking leadership roles and have gained significant experience as the past president and current finance executive for the EWB student chapter. I am also a co-founder of the Women of Manitoba Engineering Network, a student group aiding to create community and professional development for female-identifying engineering students. I am also a core volunteer through the Pregnancy Counselling program at the Women's Health Clinic where I mentor and approve new volunteers for counselling. Through EWB I was involved in successfully developing a global engineering case study competition for engineering students, focused on developing an innovative and socially conscious solution to the issues created by the wash out of the Churchill railroad. COURSEWORKI have taken steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete design. My technical electives have included structural dynamics, masonry design and construction, structural design in wood, and finite element analysis.
