I am a senior at Kent State University on track to graduate in the fall of 2022. My degree will be a Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Case Management. In the past, I worked as a children's party attendant and coordinator at Pump It Up for almost 2 years. There, I monitored the party guests, enforced rules, served food for the guests, and time managed to make sure each party ended and started on time. I currently work for Gentlebrook as a Resident Care Coordinator at the Hartville Meadows, which is an Intermediate Care Facility for adults with developmental disabilities. I have been at this job for 3 years and still counting. At this job, I am responsible for assisting the residents with certain activities and providing daily care, engaging them in active treatment, deescalating and redirecting negative behaviors, following along with each residents programs, and encouraging them daily to advocate for themselves and reach their goals. Both of these jobs also required me to come into work full of energy with a smile on my face and unafraid to be goofy and make a fool of myself. They also required immense amounts of patience, time management, being able to quickly shift priorities, and being flexible with the work I was doing.
