Retired from the Texas Department of Transportation in August 2013 and recently opened a small B&B in South Central Austin just 12 minutes from downtown. This facility is ideal for business women traveling to Austin for meetings and/or training. And we honor the current State room rates. As an avid gardener I find myself spending time trying to overcome the challenges of our drought so that my gardens bounty can be incorporated into my cooking. Local music fills our rooms from a wide variety of artists on Austin radio stations KUTX and KDRP. I have a great dog who goes by the name Joe who pretty much goes with me everywhere (when it's not too hot out). Originally from NYC, I moved to Austin full time while Austin was really Austin way back in the early eighties. I'm looking forward to sharing "My Austin" with my guests with art, music and food.
