Abdul Husein is a passionate technology leader and an innovator with over 15 years of experience in leading teams and architecting solutions across Banking, Government and Education sectors. He is recognized for his technology acumen, business focussed mindset and the culture of innovation he is able to nurture.He has co-founded multiple ventures: Grape Technology (grapetech.ae), a Blockchain and emerging technology company in Dubai and Purefire (purefiretech.com), a Digital Marketing and Software Development company in India.Presently he is the CTO at Sav, a fintech based out of DIFC in Dubai.He brings techno-functional expertise to the table with Core banking expertise (Finacle) with rich and varied hands on exposure to various functions ranging from Product delivery to Implementation at customer sites. He has in-depth knowledge and experience with product design, banking processes and software development life cycle from scope definition, requirement gathering, implementation and user acceptance. Recognized for strong ability to innovate and identify, confront, resolve functional and technical challenges faced during a core banking implementation cycle.With a strong foundation and expertise in Core Banking and product development, later in his career, he moved on to do pioneering work with emerging technology: Blockchain. Among his achievements, he helped deliver and launch the region's first Blockchain remittance use case between two large global banks. This project received worldwide recognition from Gartner Innovation award in 2018.His contribution led to the creation of the Blockchain center of excellence at the bank, which showcased highly proficient and sophisticated technology delivery capabilities. This helped the bank achieve its’ strategic objectives on being at the forefront of digital innovation and emerging technology adoption.His experience on implementing enterprise scale projects on Blockchain -- which are live in production-- takes his understanding beyond hype and PoCs. This is key and helps appreciate real life potential of this futuristic tech to the granular level.In his Chief Technology Officer role at Grape Technology, he has continued to expand his skillset in a broader leadership role. He has led his team to deliver success in the projects like EV Chain for DEWA, Digital Consultancy for FAB, Al Masraf and launch and rollout of company’s flagship product SHAHADA for digital credentials on blockchain.
