I mainly worked on the tendering phase of the ETCS2+IL contract, which was awarded for an amount of 510 milion Euros. The ETCS2+IL Tender phase (inside the ETCS2+IL programme of INFRABEL) covers the contracting of the ETCS level 2 (2300km track) and interlocking (1900km track) for the Belgian conventional railway lines.The scope of this 10+ year ETCS2+IL contract is to renew the signalling systems of the major part of the country with a focus on safety and interoperability.Other responisbilities:- I was given the mission to tender, award and overlook the execution of the re-design of electronic I/O cards for the signal boxes. For this, I was assigned the role of "Fonctionnaire Dirigeant".- I overlook several other contracts, including the on-board unit of Infrabel's ETCS test trains, as well as the ETCS Simu-lator used to perform functional tests for ETCS commissioning.

Project Engineer within the Advanced Engineering department, part of the Telecom Networks BU at TE Connectivity:- Developing a state-of-the-art FEA tool able to simulate the behaviour of gel as sealant for heavy duty network closures, including complete material characterisation in a specialised laboratory.- Furthermore, it is a technological leap forward as such hyper-elastic material have never been characterised before in such detailed manner.- Preparation of a project proposal for the IWT (Flemish government) and got accredited funding for this project.- Deeply implicated in the development of the next generation of closures.
