Beginning in 1980, Emery focused on leasing and site selection for national accounts, constructed over $50 million in various retail projects, oversaw acquisitions, managed entitlements, and arranged financing. After becoming an investment brokerage specialist, he closed over $1 billion in investment property sales and went on to hold positions of Regional Manager and East Coast Director for a well-known national investment sales firm. In 2001, he founded Shane Investment Property Group and implemented thoughtful, creative strategies and a personalized client experience establishing a loyal following that appreciated referrals and a team of brokers that consistently overdelivered on client expectations. Since its founding, Shane became renowned in the Southeast for closing some of the largest and most notable properties in the region, setting records in the price per foot and cap rate benchmarks. Both public and private investors regularly seek out his guidance on investment pricing, lease-price strategies, environmental hazards, seismic issues and other technical concerns. Today, Emery Shane is a Senior Director at the Stan Johnson Company (SJC), based out of Tulsa, OK. In 2020, Shane Investment Property Group merged with SJC, establishing a second Atlanta, GA branch for SJC.
