In July, 2019 I changed my practice to exclusively represent debtors in consumer and commercial collection matters in district, county and justice courts in Dallas, Tarrant, Denton and Collin counties. Previously, I represented creditors in all types of claims, from breach of contract claims, mortgage deficiency claims, negotiable instruments, sworn accounts, credit card accounts and short sale promissory notes. I also have extensive experience with post-judgment collection litigation and experience assisting creditor clients with general counsel representation in collection litigation and defensive suits all over the country in reviewing and negotiating law firm engagement agreements and review of monthly invoices. I have represented clients in negotiations with Fannie Mae; Freddie Mac; Bank of America; Chase; Wells Fargo; MGIC; OCWEN; Fifth Third Bank; Radian; Litton; GENWORTH MI; Goldman Sachs; the FDIC; and with various governmental entities, including numerous state licensing agencies. My previous representations also included assisting with state mortgage servicing and collection licensing issues, including state audits; representation in issues arising in SSA 16 Audits; representing clients in negotiating Master Servicing Agreements and SOWs; representing clients in employment matters, including drafting provisions of Employment Manuals and appearing before the EEOC and TWC; providing advice concerning RESPA compliance and QWR responses and Reg. Z compliance; providing advice concerning consumer privacy in the Dodd-Frank Act; and responding to CFPB complaints as well as Attorney General complaints; Practice also previously included TCPA and FDCPA compliance and defense representation as well as FCRA Defense and compliance review and counsel for general credit reporting issues.
