Develop multi-year strategic plans for the University of California and implement performance management methodologies, metrics and tools; provide executive leadership and program management of systemwide initiatives on behalf of the UC President including transformation of the UCOP budget and presentation to the UC Regents and CA State Legislature; provide recommendations in the areas of organizational governance and design, process design, risk management, and change management; consult and advise directly with key UC stakeholders including the UC President, EVP UC Health, COO, CFO, Provost, Chancellors, VCPBs, Academic Senate, UC Regents, and the UC Executive Budget Committee; lead and facilitate task forces on behalf of the President and Regents; and provide internal business consulting in an effort to optimize performance, increase efficiency, and align efforts with strategic goals.

Lead strategic systems and initiatives for the UCSF Campus and Health System. Perform project management, business process analysis and redesign, system implementations, and system design. Advocate for stakeholders and end users while leading organizational advancements for finance and analytical systems including the upgrade to PeopleSoft 9.2, strategic roadmaps, and more.

Lead the integrated user experience design and engagement strategy across UC Berkeley's financial planning and analysis (FP&A) systems, including Oracle Hyperion Planning, OBIEE, PeopleSoft Financials, Hyperion Interactive Reporting, and enterprise financial and metrics reporting tools. Develop a model for ongoing operational stability, including governance, operational design, community of practice and opportunity to identify continuous improvements. Initiate, design, and manage the complete user-centered design cycle (research, modeling, needs assessment, design, testing, and developer relations) for the Hyperion planning implementation, including approaches, trends, impact assessment, and sources and uses of data. Collaborate with executive leadership to transform business processes and implement streamlined solutions.

Manage and administer the Payroll Personnel System (PPS) and serve as chair for related reporting systems, such as Business Objects/Crystal Reports, and the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Support implementation of an enterprise time and attendance system. Author functional specs, business requirements, testing documentation, and act as liaison between technical and functional teams. Chair the training team with a focus on improving education while updating current business and system processes. Develop, document, and disseminate system and functional procedures. Perform financial data extraction and analysis.

Perform and provide oversight of HR actions including recruitments, classification, compensation, and payroll. Ensure accurate application of UC policies, procedures, and bargaining agreements. Consult with staff and managers on performance, work force planning, and opportunities to improve workplace culture.

Develop and implement training programs for new-hire employees on United Airlines computer programs and company and federal policies. Manage employees throughout training and authorize release from probationary period. Lead implementation of new customer service systems, develop training materials to facilitate implementation and ensure uninterrupted service to customers.
