Digital entertainment reporter/writer/editor based in New York City with strong SEO skills. Currently covering celebrity news and reality TV for Starcasm and The Inquisitr.Gained my first experience in journalism with my own old school, DIY hyper local music fanzine. While studying communications and journalism at the CUNY College of Staten Island, I wrote about music and music culture through my internships at CMJ Network and Time Out New York and I also freelanced at the now-defunct Wonka Vision Magazine. During my time at Elmore Magazine, I was promoted from publisher's assistant to reviews/online editor. I ran the music reviews section, oversaw the revamp of the magazine’s website and assisted in the move from a faulty CMS system to WordPress. I left my position at Elmore to attend the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. During my time in the program, I focused on arts and culture reporting and I also freelanced at the New York City News Service and the Juvenile Justice Information Exchange.While I was at 33 Universal, I worked as an entertainment reporter/writer for the company's flagship website Headlines and Global News. I carved a niche for myself in reality TV by covering sneak peeks, season premiere previews and episode recaps. I also helped raise the site’s traffic from 2.4 million unique visitors per month to 5 million within the last half of 2015 by using strong SEO skills and social media to promote stories.
