Provides operational and logistical support to the Social Service Response Program (SSRP) including acting as the regular driver of the Social Service Response Unit (SSRU). Working in tandem with the Emergency Services Recovery Coordinator, responds to the needs of individuals in crisis on the street providing for immediate felt needs and sharing informed referrals for further assistance.

• Advance Life Support (ALS) Provider• Attended and participated in clinical rotations to include: hospital Operating Room, Adult Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, Pediatric Emergency Departments, and Labor & Delivery• Utilized all EMT-B and AEMT- intermediate skills and equipment• Demonstrated competency in patient assessment • Able to perform CPR, bleeding control, provides non-invasive treatment of hypoperfusion, stabilize/ immobilize injured bones and the spine• Manages environment emergencies and emergency childbirth• Certified in the use of a semi-automatic defibrillator• Able to assist patients with the self-administration of medications• Responds to emergency 911 calls when dispatched • Uses appropriate body substance isolation procedures • Assesses the safety of a scene, gains access to the patient, assesses the extent of injury or illness • Responsible for the accountability of multiple medications which in a non-professional application are deemed narcotic• Able to interpret and read cardiac rhythms • Able to perform: advance airway maneuvers, intravenous access, cardiac monitoring, and multiple approaches to medication administration
