I am a well-rounded professional who places great value on life-long learning. Throughout my time working in this field, I progressively fell in love with public relations. I enjoy the strategy of it, the space for connection and creativity, and the opportunity to inspire a positive impact in a community. I have centered much of my public relations studies and experience around nonprofits and organizations whose missions support the wellness and support of marginalized groups and their communities as a whole, and I hope to continue to use my skill set to benefit organizations with a commitment to compassion. In my current position of Director of Public Relations for PEACE Volunteer Center, I create campaigns and engage in marketing research in order to effectively connect with an audience of over 10,000 for the purpose of encouraging community engagement and inspiring social change. This role has been valuable in giving me an opportunity to employ the skills that I have learned in an academic setting, and has given me experience in factoring in diversity and inclusion awareness strategies in promotional content. In addition, I worked as a public relations contractor for an intranational nonprofit wherein I completed audits to identify opportunities for growth when creating a future campaign. This campaign aimed to reach previously overlooked audiences and strengthen the support it could provide to those in need of its services. Furthermore, I worked with Dream Flights, another intranational nonprofit, to develop a 2023 Giving Tuesday campaign with data-backed suggestions and insights.With a foundation built from these experiences- as well as a history of academic excellence- I hope to further expand my practical experience to become a more well-rounded and knowledgeable public relations practitioner. I am looking to expand on prior skills and develop new techniques while working with a diverse client-base.I have a genuine love for communications, and the drive and skillset to turn that love into tangible results for both you and your clients.
