I solve problems for Oracle so that our developers continue to innovate and our customers continue to succeed.I am a registered patent attorney with experience in litigation, prosecution, and licensing. As Managing Counsel, I am responsible for managing Oracle's patent risk. I evaluate threatened patent assertions and advise management about the legal and business risks they present. I also assist Oracle's M&A Team with IP-related due diligence. I handle open-market patent acquisition, negotiate patent licenses, and collaborate with Oracle's litigation team on patent litigation and post-grant proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. I also lead patent portfolio management for Oracle's Systems division, which includes server hardware and software and related datacenter technologies for enterprise and cloud computing.Prior to my role in the IP Legal Team, I supported Oracle's sales organization as a member of the Commercial Legal Team by negotiating and drafting cloud services agreements with our customers. Before that, as a member of the Litigation Team, I defended Oracle against patent and copyright lawsuits and negotiated resolutions to commercial disputes with customers and vendors. Interdisciplinary, cross-functional work excites me and I strive to be a strong utility infielder.
