Scholarships Associate
Under the guidance of the Scholarship Officer, manage all aspects of scholarships processing, including database entry, for applications to and scholarships awarded from both Donor Involved (DI) and Foundation Managed funds (FM). Serve as primary representative to a portfolio of primarily DI scholarship donors, cultivating and maintaining meaningful relationships to develop/implement strategies and execute contract work Manage and maintain scholarships database information and scholarship/student files in an accurate and timely manner. Respond to inquiries from students and other FM/DI scholarship constituents and partners. Serve as first point of correspondence for internal and external requests for scholarship data. Support the tracking and evaluations systems which measure the success of scholarships and related student support programs/initiatives. Help develop and prepare scholarship dockets and presentations for staff, volunteer and board committee review and other special reports. Assist in the development of processes for streamlining/automating scholarships and inter-department procedures/reports. Provide grant data, statistics and supporting documentation for presentations by staff, including the CEO. Stay abreast of and distribute internally community data pertinent to the community foundation’s grantmaking/initiative strategies. Work collaboratively with the Donor Engagement, Corporate Responsibility and Marketing and Communications departments, to accomplish the CAPS division’s goals, and across SVCF to support the community foundation’s mission, goals and priorities. Manage and develop processes for maximum efficiency through our various data input and scholarship application platforms – SmartSimple, Raiser’s Edge, Granted Edge, Financial Edge, etc. Remain informed about and aware of current trends in philanthropy, scholarships and local news.
