The main task in the delivery department was actually to shop on behalf of the greatest customers of Metro Cash and Carry, based on the orders received from the customers. After only 6 months of employment in the department I was chosen to take on the role as the "leader" of the department, Which meant I accomplished my first so called leader position in a very young age (I was given the position before my 18th birthday).In the department I had up to 5 people referring to me. One of my responsibilities was to ensure that everything went as planned, orders packaged in the right order so the customers got their delivery on time, supervise the packages and to check the orders to make sure everything were there, if not I had to call the customers to let them know that somethings were missing in the warehouse, most of the time I had to fix it by either getting an item alike og to collect the missing item elsewhere. Another thing were the staff in the department, and given that I was the absolute youngest it could sometimes be difficult; somehow I managed to earn everyone's trust and respect through curiosity and willpower. I simply wanted to be the best at everything in the department. All in all a great start to a career as a young leader. Show less
