Self employed. From early year 2004 I have participated in real estate development projects in cooperation with business partners, managing numerous projects in real estate development in Iceland, and has participated in various projects in other countries.

Late 2002 I was hired as a managing consultant to a construction company, Vidar constructions. Later on this lead to a management buyout and I became the manager of the firm in December 2003. The operation of the firm was reconstructed and sold early year 2004.

It was late 1999 I was pointed as Managing Director for Teymi Denmark as. The task was to establish a subsidiary to Teymi hf, an Oracle distributor and service provider in Iceland, in Denmark. Prior to my work in Denmark I was an employee of Teymi Iceland for 3 years, taking care of business development in the financial sector in Iceland. During that period I was also in close contact with India as a source of expertise in the field of financial software development.

Prior to my work for the Savings Banks I was employed for over two years by Vífilfell hf., the bottler of Coca Cola in Iceland, in the capacity of Marketing Manager, handling all general publicity and advertising for the company (planning, execution and supervision) as well as the planning and direction of more extensive marketing initiatives. Working on the second management group, actively participating in policy making.
