I am part of Lifecycle Solutions & Services team based in Amsterdam. I am responsible for optimization, update and expansion of DCS systems. My area of work is across western Holland and mainly the area around Rotterdam. I am working for different projects in big Petrochemical and Gas and Oil plants owned by large international companies such as Shell, AkzoNobel, Esso and other.

DCS Engineer – Edvard Grieg gas platformThe Edvard Grieg platform will process and produce stabilized oil and rich gas from the Edvard Grieg deposit. I am part from Honeywell team which is responsible for commissioning of automation system and implementation of remaining control loops and logics. In particular I am responsible for the PCS(Process control system) part. In this project DCS is Honeywell EPKS Release R410.

South Korea

Valemon is offshore platform that will separate gas, condensate (light oil) and water.Honeywell has been selected by Statoil, the international energy company headquartered in Norway, to deploy its Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS) and Honeywell Distributed System Architecture (DSA) at Statoil’s Valemon platform in the North Sea. I am part of Honeywell team that performs FAT for the DCS that is implementing with newest Honeywell system Experion PKS R410 with C300 controllers.My job included:1. Implemented of new process logic according to the supplied SCD(system control diagrams);2. Compare of existing control modules with SCDs and if is necessary make correction;3. Open, implemented and close of CARs (Corrective Action Request); 4. Helping Statoil’s engineers if they need from some technical supports.

Italy - Milano

I was part of a team that performs FAT for a large project to expand the refinery in Suriname's Staatsolie. DCS is newest Honeywell system Experion PKS R410 with C300 controllers and with many connections with 3rd party controllers(ABB, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Bently-Nevada, etc.)I am involved during FAT with:1.Chaking and if is necessary change/create of control logic according of control narrative together with Saipem(Engineering & Construction company) and Vendor of equipment.2. Establish of communication with 3rd party controllers and check of Modbus map addresses (SCADA and PCDI).3. Revise of HMI Displays and repair if necessary.4. Hardware I/O signals check.5. Revise and accomplish of documentation.

I was responsible for two big projects one for Shell and one for KPE(Kuwait Petroleum Europoort) with Honeywell-DCS.In these projects I was responsible for:- engineering and design; - specify user requirements;- DCS programming of control systems from given designs;- Involvement throughout whole software/systems lifecycle, from design through coding to testing, installation, configuration, and documentation (working throughout to full QA procedures);- Working within project team to customer deadlines;- Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) ;- Site Acceptance Test (SAT) .

Honeywell Qatar in project Shell GTL Pearl This is the world's largest gas to liquids (GTL) refinery. There is installed new Honeywell EPKS DCS and I was responsible for functional tests of this system and handover to Shell which includes:1. Fault finding, debugging and performing modifications on not live and live control system without affecting the process;2. Starting up new instruments / equipment, working closely with Shell process engineers and operators;3. Connection of Honeywell EPKS DCS with 3rd party controllers (Siemens, ABB, Bently Nevada, etc.) by MODBUS TCP/IP, MODBUS RTU protocols and OPC;4. Modification of the logics, control loops and HMI displays.

Solvay Bulgaria

The factory is engaged in chemical industry and is one of the biggest plants for production of soda ash in Europe.Solvay-Sodi is owner also and of Power plant and Quarry. DCS in all units was Honeywell EPKS and TDC3000/TPS that was integrated in one big DCS. My work includes: 1. Implementation of brand new DCS, meaning the complete construction: - Design;- Purchase and assembly of Hardware components;- Implementation of Software like logics (CM and SCM), control loops, HMI or GUS displays, configuration of History, Alarms, Trends and Groups;- Function tests;- Commissioning. 2. Enlargement and modernization of the existing DCS.3. Maintenance of all Systems of control and monitoring located in chemical plant, power plant and quarry.I was personally involved in the construction or modernization of Boilers, Turbines, Distillery, carbonization columns, Coal transport and other.

Polimeri-Bulgaria

The Factory is engaged in chemical industry and produces PVC. My work includes enlargement and maintenance of existing DCS.In this factory DCS is Honeywell’s system TDC3000 and I created new or modified the existing logics, regulators, GUS and Display builder displays as required by Process engineers at the factory.
