Master of Science in Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, I wrote my thesis at AstraZeneca, where I differentiated hiPSCs into skeletal myocytes by modulating key transcription factors. Spending almost every single day in the lab allowed me to grow familiar with RT-qPCR, Western Blot, Flow cytometry, iPSC work and several more techniques. My thesis was completed in early June and I am actively looking for new opportunities to expand my knowledge and meet new people. 'My Bachelor's thesis investigated the protein aggregation of alpha synuclein in vitro, to further our understanding of the excluded volume's effect. For the first time in my career I had the privilege to spend an extended amount of time working in the lab during COVID. This was when I confirmed that I truly want to work with science and that swapping to a biology focused track during my adolescence was the right choice. During my spare time I coach youths and teenagers in competitive swimming, I've been teaching and coaching individuals and groups since I was sixteen years old and I still get a kick of energy every time I get to help someone reach their goal.
