"Plan Provincial Escuelas Abiertas" is a non-formal education plan for social containment and prevention, aimed at children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability. The purpose of ESCUELAS ABIERTAS is to open its doors to become a space for children and adolescents; in a place that awaits them, that is specially designed to receive them, generating areas of inclusion and insertion.Nearly 10 thousand children between 5 and 18 years of age spend their time in recreational activities in the 48 educational establishments throughout the year. The 30 authorized centers in the capital city are attended by 7300 children and in the 15 schools in the interior, approximately 2700 children. It has more than 450 workshop leaders, 45 coordinators in each of the schools and 8 zonal and/or area coordinators. They offer the different alternatives to our children during 6 and 8 hours.
