Motivation is crucial because it allows us to change behavior, develop competencies, be creative, set goals, grow interests, make plans, develop talents, and boost engagement. Isn't that what life is about?One of the most telling questions you can ask someone in any kind of leadership role is what motivates them to be a better leader. Some will say it’s to enhance their personal effectiveness, or that leading is an expected part of their professional development. Others may say that they lead because of a sense of leader identity, purpose, or personal obligation to serve their organization and the people with whom they work.I started a Linkedln profile to be a driving factor for actions, willingness, and goals. Motivation is derived from the word motive, or a need that requires satisfaction.We could all use support and motivation as I know it has helped me. And I hope to help others.
